TRM Labs Taps Former MAS Official to Lead APAC Policy Efforts
TRM Labs has appointed former Monetary Authority of Singapore official Ziqing Ang as Head of Policy for Asia-Pacific. In this role, she will work with regulators, law enforcement and private institutions across the region.
The appointment comes as TRM tracks more than $103 billion in adjusted crypto crime volume in 2025, up from about $123 million in 2020. Investment scams, including pig butchering schemes, accounted for 62% of fraud inflows last year, while AI-enabled scam activity increased by 40%.
Ang spent over eight years at MAS before moving to Sygnum and BPI Financial Group. Her experience working on both the government and private sectors will support TRM's work with authorities and institutions in Asia-Pacific, according to Ari Redbord, global head of policy.
