Tron ETF Offers Staking Rewards, But With High Fees
The first U.S.-based ETF offering spot exposure to Tron's TRX along with staking rewards has launched, but it comes with some caveats. Canary Capital launched the TRXS ETF on the Cboe BZX Exchange, which stakes at least 90% of its holdings to generate yield.
The fund charges a 1.10% annual sponsor fee and takes 20% of staking rewards, which is higher than typical spot Bitcoin ETFs. Additionally, liquidity risks exist due to Tron's unstaking periods.
TRX's price has shown little reaction since the ETF debut, indicating a cautious investor response.
