TRON Forces Node Operators to Update Before August Deadline

TRON has released a mandatory network upgrade, codenamed GreatVoyage v4.8.2 Pyrrho, to ensure node operators update their systems before August 16th at 23:59 Singapore Time.

The upgrade aims to strengthen EVM compatibility and developer portability across the crypto ecosystem by aligning TRON's virtual machine with Ethereum's Pectra and Osaka upgrades.

This includes adding the CLZ instruction and a secp256r1 signature-verification precompile, as well as migrating the node's JSON API from fastjson to Jackson and moving monitoring metrics from InfluxDB to Prometheus.

The update is particularly important for DeFi projects, DEX/CEX integrations, wallets, exchanges, and indexers that depend on TRON's large USDT activity.
