Tron Founder Justin Sun Embroiled in 30 Million Yuan Bride Price Dispute

Chinese cryptocurrency tycoon Justin Sun is involved in a dispute with actress Jing Tian and her parents over a 'bride price' of 30 million yuan (US$4.5 million).

Sun, the founder of blockchain platform Tron, has an estimated net worth of US$8.5 billion, according to Forbes.

He wrote that his interest in Jing dated back to 2007, when she was a prominent figure for a major Chinese instant-messaging platform, coinciding with the start of his university journey.

Sun proposed to Jing in January and transferred 30 million yuan to her parents as a 'bride price', he claimed.
