TRON Makes Ethereum Applications Easier to Port with Network Upgrade
TRON has upgraded its network to make it easier for developers to bring Ethereum applications onto its blockchain. Proposal 107 received 25 approvals before taking effect on August 28, and the changes provide a foundation for wallets that use passkeys instead of traditional passwords.
The upgrade introduces features from Ethereum's Prague and Osaka updates to the TRON Virtual Machine, which runs applications on the network. This means developers now have less code to change when porting an application from Ethereum to TRON, making it easier for them to adapt their existing projects.
One of the key benefits of this upgrade is that it enables passkey support, allowing users to sign in to applications using security features built into their phones or computers. Instead of remembering passwords, users can use fingerprints, facial recognition, or a PIN to access their wallets and applications.
