TRON Network Activates Upgrade with Ethereum-Inspired Features

The TRON (TRX) network has activated Proposal 107, which adds Ethereum-inspired features to its virtual machine. This upgrade took effect on August 28 after receiving 25 approvals.

The changes include the activation of Prague and Osaka features, which narrow compatibility gaps with Ethereum and allow for longer historical block-hash access. This is expected to make it easier for developers to move applications from Ethereum to TRON.

The upgrade also introduces native P-256 verification, a cryptographic curve widely used for passkeys and hardware-backed device key stores. This will enable wallet and application developers to verify signatures created through security features built into phones and computers more efficiently.
