TRON Quietly Outperforms Bitcoin in Q2 2026
TRON outperformed Bitcoin in Q2 2026 as TRX gained 3%, while Bitcoin fell 4%. The data comes from a CoinDesk Research report on TRON's performance, which was commissioned by Tron and released July 21, 2026. The report highlights TRON's strong stablecoin presence, with 93% of its daily transactions being peer-to-peer stablecoin transfers.
TRON averaged 3.5 million daily active users during the quarter, up from 3.2 million in Q1 2026. The network processed approximately 11.8 million daily transactions, with USDT supply sitting at an all-time high of about $89 billion on TRON. This gives TRON a 28.7% share of the total stablecoin market cap and represents 47% of USDT's total supply across all chains.
TRON collected $89 million in protocol fees for the quarter, placing it second overall behind Hyperliquid, which booked $199 million. However, the report notes that TRON did not outperform Hyperliquid on price during the same period.
