Tron Surpasses 15 Billion Transactions, Quietly Becoming One of the Busiest Blockchains
Despite often receiving less attention than Ethereum and other significant ecosystems, Tron has quietly reached a milestone, surpassing 15 billion cumulative transactions. The network's steady growth over the past year is striking, with a remarkably steady climb in transaction activity, unlike many blockchains that see abrupt spikes followed by protracted periods of inactivity. In fact, according to TRONSCAN, Tron has now processed over 15.01 billion transactions, with an average daily throughput of roughly 12.13 million transactions.
What's more, Tron has become one of the main stablecoin settlement layers, with a significant percentage of USDT transfers worldwide occurring on it due to its low fees and relatively quick confirmation times. This steady stream of payments has contributed to transaction numbers often surpassing those of more well-known smart contract platforms.
However, when it comes to price action, Tron's May rally that momentarily lifted the asset above $0.37 has stalled, with the token currently trading sideways at $0.327. Despite this, investors are taking note of the network's solid long-term structure and continued growth in transaction activity.
