TRON Surpasses 400 Million Accounts with Strong USDT Presence
TRON has hit a major milestone by surpassing 400 million accounts, up from 300 million in April this year. The growth is largely driven by its strong USDT liquidity and low transaction fees.
The platform now holds more than $94 billion of USDT, which represents about 51.4% of the circulating supply, making it one of the main settlement rails for dollar-based crypto payments.
TRON's growth has accelerated significantly, adding its latest 100 million accounts in roughly 16 months after taking four years to reach its first 100 million. The platform's utility is growing rapidly, particularly in emerging markets where low transaction costs and fast settlement make it an attractive option for payments and remittances.
The CEO of TRON, Justin Sun, has noted that the platform's usage is growing especially in Africa, with Nigeria being one of the key countries.
