Tron Surpasses Ethereum as Largest Stablecoin Issuer

Tron's USDT supply has surpassed Ethereum's, reaching $87.9 billion in the second quarter. According to a Messari report, this is a significant milestone for the network, which processed $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers during the same period.

Average daily USDT transfers increased 4.3% to $22.8 billion, rebounding after a first-quarter decline. Network use also expanded, with average daily transactions rising 8.7% to 11.8 million and average daily active addresses increasing 11.7% to 3.6 million.

However, decentralized exchange activity declined, with total value locked in DeFi falling 1.9% to $4.4 billion and average daily decentralized exchange trading volume dropping 21.7% to $49.3 million.
