TRON Surpasses Ethereum in USDT Transfers Despite Flat TRX Price
The TRON network processed a record $2.1 trillion in USDT transfers during the second quarter of 2026, surpassing Ethereum's volume for the period.
TRX remained flat over the same period, with its price ending near $0.32 and now trading around $0.33, about 23% below its record high.
The network also saw a significant increase in stablecoin market cap, growing 4.1% to reach a record $89.2 billion, with USDT holding a 98.5% share of that total.
In contrast, the on-chain economy contracted, with TRON's DeFi TVL slipping 1.9% to $4.4 billion during the quarter, and its DEX average daily volume falling 21.7% to $49.3 million, marking the fourth straight quarterly decline.
