Tron's Growing Recognition: First Staked Tron ETF Launches in U.S.
The Tron network has made significant strides in its growing recognition as an important part of the digital economy. As evidence, Justin Sun, founder of Tron, pointed out that a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) tied to Tron and offering staking rewards on TRX will begin trading in the U.S. on Wednesday under the ticker TRXS.
The Canary Staked TRX ETF gives investors exposure to the token through the traditional stock market. This is significant, as it allows institutional investors access to a blockchain network that is already widely used for real-world financial activity. The market capitalization of TRX stands at about $32.1 billion, making it the eighth-largest cryptocurrency.
The fund's key feature is the ability to generate additional returns through Tron's proof-of-stake mechanism. Staking rewards will be reflected in the ETF's net asset value. This trend is part of a broader expansion of crypto ETFs, which have grown significantly over the past few years.
