Tron's Record-Breaking Usage Fails to Boost Token Price
The Tron network has seen record-breaking usage, with its stablecoin, Tether (USDT), being used more than any other blockchain. As of August 29th, Tronscan recorded 401 million total accounts, surpassing the 400 million milestone announced by TRON DAO six days prior.
However, despite this growth, the price of Tron's native token, TRX, has been struggling. It lost a trendline that held since February and currently trades near $0.3225, down 2.2% over the past 24 hours. Its market value stands at approximately $30.6 billion, ranking eighth among all crypto assets.
TRON's target for its quantum-resistant mainnet is set for the third quarter of this year, with post-quantum signatures reaching the Nile testnet in July. This leaves September as the deadline for its implementation.
