Trump Agrees to Blind Trust for Crypto Interests Amid Senate Negotiations
President Trump's digital-asset exposure has emerged as a pressure point in Senate negotiations over the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act. As part of these talks, Trump said he would accept a blind trust covering his crypto interests.
The move comes after Trump Media scaled back two Crypto.com initiatives on August 7, 2026. The companies had planned to combine their resources for a Cronos treasury venture worth up to $6.42 billion, but this deal was ultimately scrapped due to prevailing market conditions and shifting business priorities.
Another partnership between Truth Social and Crypto.com was also revised, with the two companies now focusing on marketing Crypto.com's prediction products rather than directly integrating them into Truth Social.
