Trump-Backed Crypto Firm Teams with Hong Kong AI Venture Amid China Security Fears
World Liberty Financial (CRYPTO: WLFI), a crypto venture backed by President Donald Trump and his family, has entered into a partnership with Hong Kong-based WorldClaw. This collaboration gives users access to 90 AI models, including 43 developed by Chinese companies that have raised concerns over national-security and intellectual-property issues.
The Chinese tech giants involved in this project include Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE:BABA), Baidu, Inc (NASDAQ:BIDU), Z.ai, DeepSeek, and Moonshot. WorldClaw accepts USD1 and other stablecoins for its services, allowing eligible users to unlock certain plans by locking WLFI tokens.
The Trump family generates revenue from the use of these tokens through their stake in World Liberty, according to a Reuters report. However, seven experts have voiced concerns about this business partnership and the potential profits for Trump through World Liberty.
