Trump-Backed Crypto Venture Partners with Chinese AI Platform Amid Access Restrictions

Share

The World Liberty Financial crypto venture, backed by President Donald Trump and his family, is partnering with Hong Kong-based AI platform WorldClaw. This arrangement has raised concerns over access to Chinese AI models, which are restricted or scrutinized by the US government.

WorldClaw offers dozens of Chinese AI models, including those from Alibaba, Baidu, and Z.ai, which face U.S. restrictions. The platform also accepts World Liberty's USD1 stablecoin as payment, creating a direct commercial link between the two entities.

The Trump family owns 38% of World Liberty and earns money from the sale and use of its crypto products. This financial connection raises questions about whether it creates a conflict between U.S. policy and private business incentives.
