Trump-Backed Firm Teams Up with WorldClaw to Offer Chinese AI Models Despite US Concerns
Crypto company World Liberty Financial, backed by former US President Donald Trump's family, is teaming up with Hong Kong-based project WorldClaw to offer users access to Chinese AI models. The partnership raises questions about who benefits when restricted technologies enter a global marketplace.
The collaboration links digital assets, geopolitical tensions, and everyday AI access. WorldClaw offers 90 artificial intelligence models, including 43 developed by Chinese companies that the US government has raised national security concerns about.
Despite US law not being violated, experts have pointed out a contradiction between this partnership and Trump's tough rhetoric toward Chinese technology companies. The arrangement seems hypocritical as the US tries to respond to the growth and threat of Chinese AI.
