Trump Blasts AI Regulation Efforts as 'SICK Conspiracy'
President Donald Trump has dismissed calls for greater government oversight of artificial intelligence (AI), labeling it as a 'SICK conspiracy' against AI and data centers.
In a statement, Trump claimed that his presence in the Oval Office is sufficient to control rogue AI, saying 'The only control or 'guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!'
This comes after several tech leaders, including Anthropic's Dario Amodei and OpenAI's Sam Altman, called for greater government oversight of AI to ensure its safe development.
Trump also stated that the administration has already stopped Anthropic 'from doing bad, or potentially bad' things, but did not provide further details on this claim.
