Trump Calls on Congress to Pass Clarity Act Amid Crypto Industry Uncertainty
U.S. President Donald Trump hosted crypto executives at the White House on Wednesday to push for clearer definitions in the growing cryptocurrency sector.
The event saw top industry leaders, including Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, speak alongside Trump.
The president urged lawmakers to pass a 'fair version of the Clarity Act,' which aims to define which tokens qualify as securities versus commodities.
Trump has earned over $1.4 billion from his family's crypto ventures and has pursued crypto-friendly policies since returning to office in January 2025.
