Trump Comments Send Hyperliquid Price Soaring 24%
President Donald Trump's comments on Wednesday sparked a surge in Hyperliquid's (HYPE) price, which jumped 24% after he mentioned the decentralized exchange could enter the United States in a compliant and legal manner.
The project's token, HYPE, rose to $72.76 according to CoinMarketCap data, while its market value stood at about $18.28 billion with trading volume reaching $1.52 billion, a 542.05% increase over the same period.
Coinbase's integration of Hyperliquid-powered perpetual futures into the Base App also contributed to the token's rise, giving eligible users access to more than 290 perpetual markets covering crypto, equities and commodities with up to 50x leverage.
