Trump Confirms CFTC Efforts to Bring Hyperliquid to US
The price of HYPE surged above $70 after U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the CFTC's efforts to bring Hyperliquid, a decentralized perpetuals futures exchange, into the United States.
This move comes as part of the regulator's efforts to foster a regulatory-friendly environment for the crypto industry, despite the stalled CLARITY Act.
At the White House crypto summit, Trump mentioned that CFTC Chair Mike Selig is working on bringing Hyperliquid into the U.S. in a fully compliant and legal fashion.
HYPE's price jumped sharply from around $62 to above $70 following this comment, representing an over 19% increase in value, according to TradingView data.
