Trump Crypto Deal Leaves Investors Reeling with 90% Losses
A digital-payments firm called ALT5 Sigma Corp. made a high-profile partnership with the Trump family's crypto platform, World Liberty Financial.
The deal was worth $750 million and brought in a windfall for the Trumps, with over half a billion dollars coming from the sale of WLFI tokens to ALT5.
However, the tokens have since plummeted by more than 80%, leaving investors who bought ALT5 shares last August with losses of over 90%.
ALT5 has changed its name and cycled through three auditors, and now faces the possibility of being delisted from the Nasdaq stock exchange.
