Trump Envoy's Crypto Payday Sparks Conflict Concerns
Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's peace envoy, had a remarkably successful year in 2025. His net worth increased by $300 million to $2.3 billion after he started working for the Trump administration.
The large sum of money Witkoff made last year came from his share of a crypto venture, World Liberty Financial (WLF), which he and Donald Trump co-founded along with other members of their families, including Don Jr., Eric, and Barron. According to a recent financial disclosure report, Witkoff raked in $107 million from WLF.
The report also revealed that the president made over half a billion dollars from tokens sold by WLF in 2025. Before Trump returned to office, Witkoff's holding company earned only $34 million from WLF.
