Trump Envoy's Dual Visits Signal Shift in Ukraine-Russia Diplomacy

Two of President Donald Trump's top foreign policy envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, are planning to visit both Kyiv and Moscow in the coming days. This dual-visit approach marks a significant shift in diplomatic strategy for an administration that has largely focused on negotiations with Russia.

The trip to Kyiv would be particularly noteworthy, as neither Witkoff nor Kushner have set foot in Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion. In contrast, Witkoff has made at least eight trips to Moscow during the same period, meeting with President Vladimir Putin and discussing ceasefire frameworks and sanctions-related issues.

The planned visits follow a meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on July 28. Ukrainian sources described those discussions as 'very practical,' with a focus on revitalizing diplomatic efforts amid stalled peace negotiations.
