Trump Faces Ultimatum from Independent Candidate Over Crypto Policy

Independent Senate candidate Aaron Day has issued an ultimatum to President Donald Trump, giving him 10 days to meet demands on cryptocurrency policy, the draft, and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. If these demands are not met, Day will proceed with a third-party campaign that could cost Republican John Sununu the Senate seat in New Hampshire.

Day believes he has enough signatures to qualify for the November ballot, having collected nearly 5,000 petitions. He is willing to walk away if the administration makes significant progress on four key issues: 'freeing crypto prisoners', stopping the CLARITY Act, firing Lutnick, and ending the draft.

'There's essentially 10 days for the administration to do what they said they were going to do,' Day said. 'If the administration makes major steps towards honoring their own commitments in these areas, then I will take myself off of the process.'

The ultimatum is an expansion of Day's earlier warning that it would take a 'miracle' or a reversal of Trump's cryptocurrency policies for him to abandon his independent campaign. Day now argues that the administration has broken promises on several fronts, including its commitment to avoid new wars and 'drain the swamp.'
