Trump Family's Cryptocurrency Project Delays Maldives Resort Token Launch
The Trump family's cryptocurrency project, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), has delayed plans to sell a token related to a resort in the Maldives.
The token was initially set to go on sale next year, allowing investors to buy a share of revenue from loans financing the Trump-branded resort.
However, due to the Iran war disrupting travel in the region, the launch has been pushed back.
World Liberty Financial had partnered with Securitize, a real-world asset (RWA) platform, to represent loan interests tied to the resort's development as a digital token that could be traded on-chain.
