$TRUMP Holders Get LAPTOP Airdrop, Raising Rug Pull Fears
Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, is launching a meme coin called LAPTOP on September 9, 2026. The name references Hunter's infamous 2020 Laptop saga, now turned into recognizable political branding.
The debut of LAPTOP will feature one billion tokens on Coinbase's layer-2 network, Base. Thirty percent of the tokens will be allocated to Hunter and his co-founders, with an unlock period of six months and a full vesting period of two years.
In a surprising move, 20% of the token's supply will be airdropped to holders of the $TRUMP meme coin, as well as Substack subscribers. This has raised questions about potential rug pull accusations, given $TRUMP's significant decline in value, it has nosedived by over 97% from its January 2025 all-time high.
