Trump Hosts Crypto Executives Amid Regulatory Advances
U.S. President Donald Trump is set to host cryptocurrency executives at the White House on Wednesday, as regulators move forward on a framework for certain digital assets.
The event comes after the SEC proposed rules that would exempt certain token offerings from securities regulations, making it easier for crypto companies to issue tokens and raise money.
Trump has profited over $1.4 billion from his family's crypto ventures since returning to office in January 2025, according to official records.
Crypto executives and representatives from industry trade groups are expected to attend the meeting, alongside key regulators including Mike Selig, Chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and Paul Atkins, Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
