Trump Investment Account Sees Over $2 Billion Profit, Mostly from Crypto
Financial records show that President Donald Trump's investment account made over 1,000 trades in June alone, generating more than $2 billion in profit last year. According to reports, more than 550 buys and over 450 sales were disclosed on August 22. The trades included large purchases of Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, and Mastercard stocks, while Meta Platforms and Motorola stocks were sold.
The White House stated that third-party financial institutions manage Trump's account independently, using computer-based model portfolios to track well-known indexes like the Schwab 1000. This means that neither Trump nor his family is directly involved in decision-making on trade timing or stock selection.
The disclosed records show a significant portion of last year's profits came from investments in crypto-asset companies. The scale of these gains has drawn increased attention to Trump's investment activity, with some questioning the management and oversight of the account.
