Trump-Linked Crypto Firm Earns Enormous Profits Amid Conflict Concerns
Financial disclosures show that Steve Witkoff, U.S. special envoy and one of President Trump's top negotiators, earned nearly $107 million last year from a holding company affiliated with World Liberty Financial.
World Liberty is the cryptocurrency firm co-founded by Trump and members of their respective families, including Witkoff's son Zach and Trump's three sons.
The company recently secured preliminary approval from the Trump administration to operate as a bank, sparking criticism about potential conflicts of interest.
Trump himself has reported earning $526 million from the sale of cryptocurrency tokens through World Liberty Financial, along with an additional $65 million from sales of equity in WLF's holding company.
