World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance project linked to the Trump family, has hired Ryan Ballantyne as its chief business officer. Ballantyne comes from Coinbase Institutional, where he led corporate client strategy.

The move aims to expand WLFI's institutional reach and build credibility in traditional finance. As CBO, Ballantyne will oversee global business strategy and partnerships.

WLFI was launched in late 2024 with a focus on regulatory compliance for DeFi services such as lending and borrowing.
