Trump-Linked World Liberty Gets Conditional Approval for Stablecoin Charter
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has granted conditional preliminary approval for World Liberty Trust Company's national trust charter application.
This allows the crypto venture, linked to President Donald Trump and his family, to expand its stablecoin business.
The trust bank structure will enable World Liberty to manage and hold customer assets and process payments more quickly once final approval is granted.
The charter permits asset management and payment settlement but does not allow deposit-taking or lending activities typical of traditional banks.
