Trump Media & Technology Group has backed out of planned deals with Crypto.com, citing new interim leadership's focus on media and distribution. The company will terminate a CRO treasury venture and related services deal it had with Crypto.com.

The decision comes as Trump Media gears up to merge with TAE (no ticker provided), which it plans to register with the SEC through an S-4 filing. In preparation, the company has filed an 8-K report on August 10, 2026, stating its intention to file a Form S-4 and provide proxy/prospectus materials.

The Trump Media leadership now wants to shift focus towards media-related businesses, APIs, and distribution rather than operating crypto products. However, the company has not ruled out potential marketing tie-ins with Crypto.com.
