Trump Media Abandons Crypto Push Amid Saturated Market
Trump Media has retreated from its crypto push, scrapping plans to establish a publicly traded CRO token accumulation company. The move comes as part of a broader pivot in focus for the company, which is shifting its attention towards media and data licensing.
The proposed venture would have created a publicly traded company focused on accumulating Cronos (CRO) tokens and earning additional returns through staking those holdings.
Trump Media had previously invested $105 million in CRO as part of a partnership with Crypto.com, which included plans to integrate token rewards into its products. However, the digital asset treasury market has become saturated, forcing Trump Media to reassess its priorities.
