Trump Media Dives Deeper into Red with $238M Q2 Loss
Trump Media & Technology Group reported a significant loss of $238 million in Q2 2026, more than ten times its loss from the same period last year. The company's stock price fell by 8% during regular trading.
The net loss per share widened to 86 cents from 8 cents due to unrealized losses on Bitcoin and Cronos holdings. Excluding these paper losses, taxes, interest, and other items, the operating loss stood at $164 million compared to $44 million a year earlier.
New CEO Kevin McGurn stated that Trump Media is refocusing its business by stepping back from several newer ventures, including parts of its crypto and online betting expansion. The company will concentrate more resources on Truth Social and its growing data business.
