President Donald Trump called on Congress to move forward with the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act during a White House event hosted by crypto companies, including Coinbase and Ripple. The bill aims to provide clarity on the regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies in the US.

The president emphasized that the legislation is 'very powerful' and will keep the US ahead of China and other countries. He also hinted at the ongoing debate over the bill's language, stating that a 'fair version' is needed.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong expressed support for the bill, calling it a 'true bipartisan compromise.' He added that if lawmakers come together, they can pass the bill with the necessary 60 votes in the Senate.
