Trump Says CFTC Working on Bringing Hyperliquid to US Market
President Donald Trump made significant comments at a White House crypto event on August 19. He stated that CFTC Chair Michael Selig is working to bring Hyperliquid into the U.S. under a fully compliant legal framework.
Hyperliquid is a major platform for perpetual futures but currently does not serve U.S. users. A regulated U.S. pathway could give the platform access to the American derivatives market, expanding its reach and potential user base.
The CFTC will need to determine how Hyperliquid can meet U.S. rules before it is allowed to operate in the country. Selig is expected to provide more details at the CFTC's Innovation Advisory Committee meeting.
