Trump Slaps Label on Crypto Leaders: Male Models
US President Donald Trump hosted cryptocurrency executives and industry leaders at the White House on Wednesday, days after the Securities and Exchange Commission proposed a rule change that would allow some token offerings to bypass securities regulations.
The meeting came as part of Trump's efforts to promote the development of digital currencies in the US. In June, he revealed that his family's crypto businesses brought in $1.4 billion just last year.
During the meeting, Trump called a group of cryptocurrency leaders 'male models' and asked the crowd if they looked good. He gestured to the group behind him, which included Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and Kraken CEO Arjun Sethi, among others.
