Trump Sons' Firm Takes $100M from Money-Laundering Suspect's Crypto Fund
A company managed by President Donald Trump's three sons has received a $100 million investment from a crypto fund run by an individual under investigation for money laundering, according to a recent report by The New York Times.
The investor in question is Guren 'Bobby' Zhou, who is currently being investigated for money laundering in England. His past business dealings have been described as having a 'shady background.'
Zhou's company, the UAE-based Aqua 1 Foundation, purchased $100 million in digital tokens from World Liberty Financial, an organization run by Trump's family and Steve Witkoff's family.
The Times noted that Zhou's troubled business history includes an unpaid $5 million debt from his collapsed flooring business, a failed crypto venture that burned through investor funds, and a string of fabricated corporate partnerships he was forced to walk back.
