Bitcoin reclaimed the $64,000 mark on Monday as the cryptocurrency market reacted to US President Donald Trump's bomb threat against Oman.

The price of Bitcoin climbed roughly 2% from Sunday's weekly close, according to exchange data. Meanwhile, gold prices rose more than 1% to around $4,424 an ounce as Bank of America reiterated its support for the metal.

Trump warned that the US would strike Oman if it got in the way of operations, comments that came amid a deadline lapse on a memorandum of understanding with Iran. However, the Iranian foreign ministry downplayed the significance of the expired deadline, stating that negotiations never opened.
