Trump Throws Weight Behind Hyperliquid's US Entry Plans
US President Donald Trump has backed Hyperliquid's entry into the US market, sending shockwaves through Wall Street exchanges.
The move came during a White House meeting with cryptocurrency industry executives on September 19, where Trump expressed his support for the CLARITY Act.
Hyperliquid, a trading platform that operates on its own blockchain, currently restricts US customers from using its services due to regulatory issues. However, Chairman of the CFTC Michael Selig has been working to bring the platform into the US in a compliant and legal manner.
The platform's rise as a rival to established derivatives exchanges such as the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) can be attributed to its expanded product offerings, including perpetual futures contracts tied to stocks like Nvidia and SK hynix, gold, crude oil, and major stock indexes.
