Trump's $5,000 Payment Plan Rocks Crypto Markets
US President Donald Trump has launched his campaign for the November 3rd congressional elections in Texas, making a bold announcement that could have significant implications for the Bitcoin and altcoin markets.
Speaking at a Republican midterm election rally in Dallas yesterday, Trump promised adult US citizens a $5,000 payment if the Republicans win both the Senate and the House of Representatives. However, he stipulated that the payments must be used within the United States, specifically stating 'I don't want you spending this money in Canada, China, or Germany. The only condition is that the money is spent in the United States.'
Experts have questioned how Trump plans to fund such a large-scale payment, with Reuters calculating that the total cost could reach around $1.35 trillion, considering the US adult population of approximately 270 million.
Cryptocurrency analyst Mark Chadwick believes that if implemented, this plan could trigger a strong wave of liquidity in the crypto market, potentially leading to an altcoin season. Chadwick compares Trump's plan to the COVID-19 stimulus payments in 2021, suggesting that the influx of new money could provide additional momentum to the current bull market.
