Trump's $5,000 Payment Plan Sparks Crypto Market Speculation
US President Donald Trump has made a bold move in his re-election campaign, promising every adult US citizen $5,000 if Republicans win both the Senate and House of Representatives. Speaking at a Republican midterm election rally in Dallas on November 3rd, Trump stated that while the money would be paid out to all adults, it must be spent within the United States.
'I don't want you spending this money in Canada, China, or Germany,' Trump said. 'The only condition is that the money is spent in the United States.'
Critics point out that President Trump did not provide any details on how the $5,000 would be funded, with some estimates suggesting a total cost of around $1.35 trillion. According to Reuters' calculations, this amount would be based on the US adult population of approximately 270 million.
Crypto analyst Mark Chadwick believes that if Trump's plan is implemented, it could trigger a strong wave of liquidity in the crypto market, potentially sparking an altcoin season. Chadwick compared the potential impact to the COVID-19 stimulus payments in 2021 and noted that this new money entering the market could provide additional momentum to the bull market already forming.
