Trump's Crypto Push Wins Support from Top Tech and Finance Executives
Leaders from top US tech and crypto companies have thrown their weight behind President Donald Trump's efforts to create lighter regulations for digital assets.
Executives from Coinbase, Robinhood, Kraken, Chainlink Labs, Gemini, and Intercontinental Exchange attended a White House meeting with Trump ahead of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Innovation Advisory Committee.
Coinbase co-founder Brian Armstrong praised Trump's administration for making progress on crypto-friendly policies, including the creation of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and the enactment of the GENIUS Act.
The next step is passage of the CLARITY Act, which would establish a federal regulatory framework for digital assets. A congressional vote on this legislation is expected to take place on September 15th.
