Trump's Crypto Ventures Reportedly Result in $4.7 Billion Investor Losses
A nonprofit consumer advocacy organization has reported that US President Donald Trump's digital asset ventures have resulted in at least $4.7 billion in investor losses since 2022.
The majority of these losses, around $3.2 billion, came from the Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin, which was launched in 2022.
According to Public Citizen, late buyers of TRUMP suffered substantial losses due to its significant drop in value, while a small group of early buyers benefited financially.
The report also identified other projects tied to the Trump family, including World Liberty Financial's governance token and nonfungible token (NFT) trading cards, which contributed to investor losses.
