Trump's Crypto Windfall: $1 Billion in Earnings Despite Broader Market Decline
The annual financial disclosure for Donald Trump shows that he earned over $1 billion from cryptocurrency in 2025. This comes as a stark contrast to the broader crypto market, which experienced a severe pullback last year.
The majority of Trump's crypto income came from royalties on his memecoin business, with $635 million reported. He also earned more than $500 million from sales of World Liberty Financial tokens.
Trump and his family retained a stake in World Liberty Financial despite complaints about conflict of interest. The disclosure lists various cryptocurrency assets under the management of structures linked to The Trump Organization, including Ethereum, Bitcoin, and USDC.
The White House did not provide an immediate comment on the disclosed data, and there were no separate public explanations for these figures.
