Trump's Lasting Legacy: Experts Warn Irreversible Damage May Outlast Him

Share

Former congressional senior advisor K. Ward Cummings warned that President Donald Trump has inflicted significant and potentially irreversible damage on the United States during his second term.

Cummings stated that some experts believe the harm caused by Trump could be locked in for decades to come, requiring Democrats to win control of both houses of Congress in the midterms and again in 2028, as well as the White House.

Trump's actions have intentionally been designed to be difficult to reverse, Cummings explained. For example, the construction of the White House Ballroom continues despite court challenges, and billions in cryptocurrency collected by Trump and his family cannot be easily recovered.

Cummings noted that Trump has reshaped government functions, cutting hundreds of thousands of employees from the federal workforce, which would be financially costly to reinstate. He has also neutered the government's ability to police his actions and enforce regulations, and is actively replacing a perceived 'liberal deep state' with his own acolytes.
