Trump's Lasting Legacy: Irreversible Damage to US Infrastructure

A former congressional senior advisor, K. Ward Cummings, has warned that President Donald Trump's damage to the US could be irreversible for decades to come.

Cummings stated that much of the harm is intentionally designed to be difficult to reverse, citing examples such as the construction of the White House Ballroom and the billions in crypto collected by Trump and his family.

The reshaping of government functions under Trump's leadership has also been highlighted as a significant concern, with Cummings arguing that the president has neutered the government's ability to police his actions and enforce regulations.

Cummings believes that a Democratic victory in both chambers of Congress by a significant margin is necessary to stop Trump from inflicting further damage. This would require three things: a major turnout by Black voters, bringing 'disgruntled' Latino and independent voters who cast for Trump back into the Democratic fold, and Democrat candidates having a message greater than mere opposition to Trump.
