Trump's Personal Finances Under Fire Amid Americans' Cost-of-Living Pressures

Share

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has criticized President Donald Trump for prioritizing his personal financial activities over Americans' struggles with cost-of-living pressures.

Warren highlighted that families are making impossible choices between paying rent and buying groceries, while individuals are rationing insulin and selling plasma to survive.

She contrasted these struggles with Trump's financial dealings, which include stock trading, building a ballroom, placing his face on coins, and selling meme tokens. The U.S. Mint recently released an official $1 coin featuring Trump's face to mark America's 250th semiquincentennial anniversary.

Trump's blind trust disclosed over 21,000 stock transactions in 2025, including shares in Uber Technologies (NYSE: UBER), NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA), and Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL). His crypto ventures generated more than $1.4 billion in revenue last year, with memecoin royalties accounting for around 45% of this total.
