Trump's Speech Sparks Bitcoin Volatility Ahead of Key Support Levels

Bitcoin's price is being closely watched ahead of US President Donald Trump's scheduled August 22 appearance, which could have significant implications for markets. The crypto market has seen a sharp pullback in recent days, with Bitcoin falling from $79,500 to its current price around $77,400.

Crypto analyst Michaël van de Poppe warns that rising volatility could lead to sharp short-term corrections. He notes that 'usually, when volatility picks up, and it's as high as it is, the corrections will be relatively violent.'

Van de Poppe projects possible scalp entries below $74,200, with a next ideal longer-term zone at around $71,100. However, he also highlights higher timeframe resistance at $83,000 and the 50-Week MA at $81,500.

The key connection for Indian Bitcoin holders is between Bitcoin's price, the US dollar, and the Indian rupee. The rupee's value against the dollar can amplify or dampen Bitcoin gains in rupee terms.
